Nintendo Authority

Today, Nintendo has launched a new developer program on their official site that makes it easier for indie developers to create and publish games on the Wii U and 3DS. The program provides developers with a lot of the basic tools and set-ups that they need to create their own games on Nintendo platforms as well as help them with publishing their games on the eShop, and/or publishing their game for retail.  

Probably the biggest thing to take away from this is that this program will allow for developers to integrate amiibo support into their games (for better or for worse).

Hopefully this program will encourage more indie developers to create games on Nintendo platforms.
