As you can see from the above picture, Nintendo’s website has listed the Shovel Knight amiibo as compatible with Super Smash Bros. for Wii U! This strongly suggests he may be coming soon as a DLC fighter. So far, Yacht Club Games has not commented on this specifically yet, but they haven’t confirmed nor denied that our favorite blue knight is coming to Smash Bros.

Chibi-Robo has also been listed as compatible with the game, hinting that he may be coming as well.

We’ll update this story if we hear more.

UPDATE: (For Shovel Knight)  Shovel Knight’s creator, Yacht Club Games has stated this listing is most likely an error. We’ll update if there’s anything more to say for either of these beloved characters
