On September 30th, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS received an update allowing the purchase of the Super Mario Maker stage, but as we should have expected from Masahiro Sakurai, the director of the game, we got some surprises with it. The Duck Hunt stage from the Wii U version of the game was ported to the 3DS for free with the update. The update also included the Pirate Ship stage from Brawl for the Wii U version of the game. There were Mii Fighter costumes as well, which include a Fox McCloud costume, a Captain Falcon costume, a business suit, a Toad outfit, a Viridi outfit, and two outfits based on armor from the Monster Hunter series.
